One Show and Match of the Day presenter sacked by BBC

Jermaine Jenas, the host of Match of the Day 2 and the One Show, has been sacked by the BBC.
The presenter and pundit, 41, has long been seen as a potential long-term replacement for Gary Lineker as full-time Match of the Day host.
But Jenas – a former England, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United midfielder – has now been dropped, the BBC confirmed.
A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Jermaine Jenas is no longer part of our presenting lineup.”
